As well as our monthly committee and business meal meetings, two social evenings were planned for January. At the start of the year we had a 'Guess who I grew into?' fun evening kindly hosted by Julia Davey. Our task was made harder by the inclusion of a photo from one of our two visitors from the Rotary Club of Shepton Mallet - although I am not quite sure how that led to quite so many babies' gender being confused!

The second evening was to be a tribute to Burns Night, but with snow on the ground and icy conditions forecast, the decision was made to cancel. We Sassenachs are not as hardy as the Scots!

In order to raise funds and awareness for the End Polio Now campaign, the Rotary Club of Trowbridge Wessex Mead will be holding its annual Big Breakfast on Sunday 24th February between 9.30 and 1pm at The Peace Memorial Hall, North Bradley. A delicious full English breakfast along with cereal, toast, juice & Fair Trade drinks can be yours for a very reasonable £6 per head, but booking is essential so please call Andrew on 01225 768666 to book your breakfast.
