RYLA 2017

RCAD sponsored two pupils from Cults Academy at the 2017 Rotary Youth Leadership Awards week at Nethybridge.

This Rotary year 2017 Aberdeen Deeside Rotary Club again sponsored two pupils from Cults Academy to participate in the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards held at Abernethy Outdoor Adventure Centre, Nethybridge, Scotland. Interviews were held with a number of school pupils who showed interest in the programme and we selected two pupils whom we considered would gain the most from the leadership training opportunity. The two candidates were Sabine Culligan and Ella Turner. Sabine and Ella came to our club on Wednesday 27th September 2017 and each gave us a presentation on what they had learnt and enjoyed from the experience, the new friends they made , the increased confidence they now have after the event and how they would willingly promote the event at their school for others to participate. They were both presented with a RYLA Certificate of Achievement and are both pictured below with Ros Riungu Rotary RYLA camp mentor of Aberdeen Deeside Rotary Club.
