Join us as we recreate the Brontës’ historic move from Thornton to Haworth!
What to Expect:

Dress in period costume – highly recommended
Walk with the horses and cart in Thornton and/or Haworth 

Thornton:
  • 10.00   Join the Brontë family as they set off by horse and cart from the Brontë Birthplace at 72-74 Market St Thornton  BD13 3HF
  • 10.15   Farewell event at the Brontë Bell Chapel 
  • 10.45   Continue journey with horse and cart along Market St
Re-enact the Brontës scenic journey on foot: (see route map - OS) (see route map - PDF) (request GPX file of route for use in your walking app.
  • 11.00  Walk to Haworth with Patrick and Maria Brontë or at your own pace
Haworth:
  • 15.00  Re-join horse and cart at Haworth railway station and go via Main Street to the Brontë Parsonage at Church St Haworth BD22 8DR
  • 16.00   Welcome to Haworth event at the Brontë Parsonage
