Our Community Service involve volunteering including the deployment of our vocational capablities in other community organisations, fundraising and our work with the young.
Community Service Award - first award made in July 2013 by the club to Anne Lennox CEO of the Myotubular Trust details in this Croydon Community Network blog article.
MS Society Croydon Branch - along with members of two other local we provide driving and escort services for disabled passengers for fortnightly meeting and monthly outings. Two of our members aldo provide vocational service on Branch Committees leading on Transport, Health and Safetl and Welfare Grant allocation.
Trefoil Trust Driving - working with members of another local Rotary club to provide volunteer drivers to transport disabled passengers to and from their regular meetings.
WAVE Trust - one member has become a trustee of this campaigning charity which seeks to eliminate the cause of violence in society and he has been joined as an ambassador by a second member.
Civic Involvement - some members are involved in local politics as councillors, others are members of the chamber of commerce and one is on the board of the BID and the club is always represented at the Annual Rememberance service and parade.
Croydon Community News - as part of our Social Media activity we promote and support local organisations that are finding their feet in this environment including settting up web pages for them and promoting them on Twitter and Facebook.

more Club members took pupils from St. Nicholas special school to the event giving them the experience of an enjoyable day out and social activity. The school supports young children with learning difficulties, autism or Down's syndrome.

more The Club was represented at the 2011 Remembrance Service in the Fairfield Hall by some Club members and President Trevor - laying a wreath at the Town's cenotaph and attending the Mayor's Remembrance luncheon in the Town Hall.
more The Club took part in the South Croydon Lights Switch On. Our collectors and the President Trevor as Father Christmas raised substantial funds for the Club's charities. A founding member of the Club, the Deputy Mayor David Fitz, joined the occasion.

more Cassandra Learning Centre (CLC) is a charity set up by Jennifer 10 years ago to bring teen domestic abuse to the forefront of public awareness. The Whitgift Club donated £300 to support their annual conference on 25th October 2012 at Westminster hall.
