CHARITY GOLF DAY IN AID OF THE SUSSEX SNOWDROP TRUST SUPPORTED BY HENRY ADAMS

Sixteen teams took part in the 6^th Annual Golf Day organised by Chichester Harbour Rotary Club. In the previous 5 years the event had raised over £50,000 for local charities this year Sussex Snowdrop Trust at  Walberton was chosen as the main beneficiary.

Henry Adams Estate Agency & Chartered Surveyors were the main sponsors and each hole was sponsored by a local business. 

The event was played on the Cathedral Course at Chichester Golf Club at Hunston on 3^rd September with the 64  participating golfers taking to the fairways in blustery but dry conditions.

David Adams, Partner at Henry Adams, added, “Thanks to everyone at Chichester Harbour Rotary for such a successful day. This year’s event proved to be a great day out on the course, bringing out a very competitive edge from many of the golfers! Congratulations to all the winners and we’re delighted to support this event which raised such a fantastic amount for Sussex Snowdrop Trust.

Local golfers Hunston Hackers  won the Sam Brown Memorial Cup with a score of 87 points. This was on a last nine count back from Amanda Brook’s team Tail Waggers.

Painters Mates last year’s overall winners gained some consolation by winning The Henry Adams Yellow Ball Competition. 

The Longest Drive on Hole 14 was by Bradley Harris from the Henry Adams Team , and the ‘Nearest the Pin’ competition was won by Richard Longhurst from Henry Adams Hackers, Richard last won this prize in 2024. . These prizes were sponsored by Christopher Podger and Malcolm Danks , both local Rotarians .

The unique Little Red Car Hole in One Competition sponsored by David Hutchings was not won by any of the players on the course but it was taken home by Richard Brooks following a lucky draw raffle after lunch. We wish Richard many happy miles of driving !!

President of Chichester Harbour Rotary, Jeremy Hunt, said, "We are so appreciative of the support given to us by our main sponsor Henry Adams and all those local businesses that sponsored holes along with the teams that took part in the day.  A lot of fun was had raising funds for such a worthy concern.  “

CHICHESTER HARBOUR ROTARY CLUB in association with HENRY ADAMS is seeking Sponsors and/or Teams to support this event, which is being held at Chichester Hunston Golf Club on the Cathedral Course.

The beneficiaries of the event will be THE SUSSEX SNOWDROP TRUST and Rotary Charities.

DETAILS of the GOLF DAY.

Golf will be played in accordance with Stapleford rules.

There will be a Shotgun Start, with 18 Teams of 4 players. Best 2 scores counting.

Maximum handicap 24.         Nearest the Pin/Longest Drive and Yellow Ball Competition.

Entry Fee will be £300 per team which includes the following programme:

                        Meet at 8.00am for a bacon roll and tea/coffee.

                        Shotgun start at 9.00am.

                        Lunch with charity auction, raffle and prize giving.

Hole Sponsorship costs £250 per hole.
