AFTERNOON TEA DANCE

Oh, what a wonderful afternoon !!

Groups from The Judith Adams Centre , Sage House and MIND were invited  to our bi-annual Afternoon Tea Dance at the Westhampnett Village on 10 Nov 25.

Over 50 guests enjoyed a scrumptious tea laid on by the members of the Club and guests even had the opportunity to purchase Christmas gifts from the craft stall.

After tea they were then wonderfully entertained by Amy Baker, an award-winning jazz and swing artist.  Amy, who has supported us since we started our afternoon tea dances, is always very popular with all those who attend.  The sense of fun and enjoyment of Amy’s music is infectious and in no time, people were up and dancing.

Thérèse Brook, who organised the event on behalf of the Club, was once again delighted with how the afternoon turned out and she was particularly pleased to have received the following feedback.

”On behalf of my friend and her husband John who attends Sage house , we would like to convey our thanks to you all for the outstanding afternoon we have just had at Westhampnett community hall !  A Tea dance but far more than that , a room full of smiles, laughter and fun , exceptional tea , exceptional entertainment and a lovely raffle !! Thank you so much for all your hard work!!!”

Feedback from The Judith Adams Centre was also extremely positive.

“I would like to say a huge thankyou to yourself and the Rotary Club for inviting us to their  tea-party on Monday. All our people had a great time  and really enjoyed the food, the music and the dancing. It gave everyone an opportunity to get together and   have fun.”

Thérèse went on to say that all the Rotarians involved during the afternoon had a good time ( some hadn’t done that much washing up in a long time! ) as well as feeling they had been involved in such a positive community event.

Our next Tea Dance will take place in the Spring of 2026.

We are  extremely grateful to the Kathleen and Sidney Linkins Memorial Trust for supporting this event financially.
