UNSUNG HERO AWARDS

The Club recently recognised its unsung heroes with the eventual overall winner being Mary Turner

ROTARY CLUB OF CHICHESTER HARBOUR’S

UNSUNG  HERO  AWARDS  -  2024/25

As well as the Rotary Club’s prestigious Paul Harris Foundation Award (PHF) which awards members based on the work they do in the community, we have introduced our very own Unsung Hero Awards.  It is once again awarded by fellow members of the Club but it recognises those who quietly work behind the scenes with a positive attitude and a willingness to help in any capacity, to a high standard and going the extra mile.

For this year, we received nominations for:

·         Malcom Danks – for his support in delivering furniture to families in need and offering his home for meetings.

·         Elaine Hind – for her continued support of our Community Committee even though she is no longer a member.

·         Lucy Hopkins – our one-time President ( 2015/16) continues to help by providing excellent catering for many of our events.

·         Marian Scott – another Past President who has worked hard chairing and supporting the Youth Committee.

·         Linda Smith – for her commitment to organizing our stores as well as being the administrative back bone for the Golf Day.

·         Mary Turner – for her hard work in the background selling items on eBay, Vinted or at car boot sales whilst always giving good support to Community.

·         David Warwick – for his work over many years providing us with a wide range of excellent and interesting speakers.

AND THE WINNER WAS

MARY TURNER!

Well done, Mary, and thank you for all your hard work!
