Rotary Golf Day raises over £10,000 for St Wilfrid’s -2023
Nineteen teams took part in the 3rd Annual Golf Day organised by Chichester Harbour Rotary Harbour. In the previous 2 years the event had raised over £22000 for Chestnut Tree Hospice but this year they chose to raise funds for St Wilfrid’s in memory of one its founder members, Valerie Bevis.
Henry Adams Estate Agency & Chartered Surveyors were the main sponsors and each hole was sponsored by a local business.
The event was played at the Cathedral Course at Chichester Golf Club in Hunston on 12 September with the 76 participating golfers extremely grateful that the recent heatwave had receded.
David Adams, Partner at Henry Adams, added, “Thanks to everyone at Chichester Harbour Rotary for such a successful event. This year’s golf day proved to be a great day out on the course, bringing out a very competitive edge from many of the golfers! Congratulations to all the winners and we’re delighted to support this event which raises such a fantastic amount for St Wilfrid’s . We look forward to seeing all the generous participants and sponsors again next year.”
Local company Carpenter Box won the Sam Brown Memorial Cup with a fantastic 99 points closely followed by the Tee Totallers with 95 points
