ROTARY CLUB OF CHICHESTER HARBOUR - 'The Breakfast Club'

What We Do and Who We Are

Run by members for members, we meet in an informal setting once a week at breakfast time. Currently our club has nearly 50 members.

We are like-minded people from a wide range of backgrounds and possess a variety of skills. Our members range in age from 40s to 80s, and our club has an equal gender balance (which is unusual for Rotary clubs!).

We engage in a wide range of activities and have a lively social agenda.

We all care about our local community and work with nominated charities to support changes for the better where help is needed.

We constantly strive to come up with new ideas to best utilise the vast experience and energy of our members to help others whilst at the same time having fun.

We raise thousands of pounds every year through events and collections, but it’s not just about raising money. Collectively our members contribute countless hours of their time both locally and internationally to specific projects where we connect with people and try to make a positive difference.

We would like to invite like-minded people to consider joining our club.

Interested? Get in touch or come along to one of our friendly breakfast meetings and see for yourself.

See the Weekly Meetings webpage for details of our breakfast meetings held in the Minerva Theatre Bar (upstairs) - 7.15am for 7.30am.

Chichester's Other Rotary Clubs

Chichester is very well served with three established Rotary Clubs. Each has its own programme of activities; however, the three Clubs collaborate when it comes to major projects. In order to recognise different lifestyles and commitments, the three Clubs meet on different days of the week and at different times, and members of any of the Clubs will receive a warm welcome if they wish to attend any of the events organised by either of the other two Clubs.

All Rotary Clubs follow the Rotary principle of total inclusivity and are non-political and non-sectarian. Chichester's three Clubs share the same purpose and objective, namely to endeavour to make a difference both locally and internationally while following the Rotary motto of "Service Above Self".

Chichester Rotary Club was established more than 100 years ago. Its regular meetings are fortnightly and are based at the Cloisters Cafe in the heart of Chichester Cathedral. The usual meeting time is alternate Tuesday lunchtimes at 12.30pm for 1.00pm. On the fifth Tuesday of any month there is an evening meeting that is usually held at an alternative venue with speakers talking on a wide range of interesting subjects.
