Janie Foote receives a Paul Harris Fellowship (PHF) Award
This prestigious award is given to individuals in recognition of their contribution to their Rotary Club, their local community and the effort they have put into supporting Club activities. Nominations were sought and assessed by a panel of Chichester Harbour Rotary Club's existing Paul Harris Fellowship (PHF) recipients, as is our Club’s usual protocol. A unanimous decision was forthcoming.
Janie is one of our younger members, and despite working part-time, she manages to dedicate much time, effort, enthusiasm and energy into fully supporting our Club during its busy year of activities.
Since joining Chichester Harbour Rotary Club 10 years ago, Janie has been heavily involved in numerous events, including managing quiz evenings, cycle fundraising events, manning stalls at fundraising events, and much much more. Janie also tries to manage an unruly bunch in the shape of the Club Committee she runs, achieving success to their endeavours on the recruitment front, with our Club's first corporate member being successfully signed up during 2025.
Janie also keeps busy with activities outside of work and Rotary, including volunteering at Chichester Cinema, being a member of two book clubs, cycling, planning trips away in her motorhome, while also finding time to represent our Club at local business networking meetings, so it is hard to tell when she actually rests.
Janie has an uncanny knack of never being able to say no to requests for help…but she is being actively coached by fellow Rotarians, who believe taht there is hope for her yet...
