Saywell International Track Day at Goodwood Motor Circuit in Chichester | V2 Radio Ltd
A family track day featuring an impressive collection of supercars has raised £15,000 to provide beds for children in need in Sussex.
The successful Saywell International Track Day took place at Goodwood Motor Circuit, near Chichester, on Saturday 8th August.
Visitors were given the opportunity to see a collection of high-performance cars up close and the famous motor racing track, which they would otherwise never have had the chance to see.
The free event attracted motoring enthusiasts and families while raising vital funds for the Beds4Kids campaign.
Beds4Kids was launched by V2 Radio last year to help local children who, for a variety of circumstances, did not have a bed of their own to sleep in.
Money raised through the campaign has been used to purchase beds for families experiencing difficult circumstances.
Through V2 Radio’s partnership with Chichester Harbour Rotary Club, Ashton Care Group and Cuff Miller, Beds4Kids has already supported a number of families across the area.
Saywell International sponsored the track day, with proceeds from the event being donated to the campaign to help meet the continuing demand for assistance.
Peter Saywell, MD of Saywell International, said, "It was a great day all round with young and old, which applied to both cars and people. Driving at the Goodwood Circuit is an experience on its own, and raising money for such a good cause makes it even more rewarding."
Visitors were able to get close to the vehicles throughout the day while learning more about Beds4Kids and its work supporting local children and their families.
Organisers hailed the event as a major success after it raised the impressive sum of £15,000, helping ensure that more children have access to a safe and comfortable place to sleep.
The next Saywell International Track Day takes place on Saturday 10th October at Goodwood Motor Circuit, raising money for The Sussex Snowdrop Trust.
