Antarctica - speaker David Adie

David described his trip to Antarctica via Chile, Tierra del Fuego, the Falkland Islands, Uruguay and Argentina.  From his description there was some fairly rough weather, which can spring up very quickly.  He outlined the rules about penguins - you may not approach them or disturb them, but you can sit in the snow and see if they come to you.  There was also the opportunity to kayak.  All the necessary outdoor gear was provided on board and everyone was "hosed down" when they returned to the ship.
