A Brief History of Broughty Ferry - speaker Ranald Barrie

In his talk on the history of Broughty Ferry, Ranald covered the historic castle at the seafront, the ferry crossing to Tayport and the growth of the suburb from a small fishing village to become one of the most prosperous areas in the whole of Europe in the 19th century thanks to the wealthy Dundee jute barons.

Club president Gordon Moir introduced Ranald and Eric Fraser thanked him for a most informative and interesting talk.
