In a most amusing delivery, Hugh told of his family tree links to some notable golfing figures before outlining his academic progress from primary school to St Andrews University. Hugh admitted to personal interventions to successfully deal with some term exam marking anomalies before eventually graduating with an excellent honours degree. Between studies, Hugh recalled the many summer jobs he did with various Fife firms with anecdotes of the characters and situations he encountered. Stephen Bennie proposed thanks for Hugh’s light-hearted tales of his student summers.
