On Tuesday evening, members and guests were piped into the St Andrews Golf Club, for their weekly meeting, by Rory Turnbull. Rory was there, along with Lynne Miller, a principal teacher from Madras, as representatives of the Madras College Pipe Band. Also present were Kirsty Hastie representing Operation Heart Start, and Katie Pake, from Disability Sport Fife. Katie is an accomplished 400 metre freestyle swimmer, having taken part in World Championships, and many other competitions. All three Charities rely solely on donations and Rotary were glad to help. The night was to present Certificates to the three representatives. In years past, a certificate and cheque might have been part of the proceedings, but banking has moved on.

At the end of the night, we were reminded that fundraising continues this Sunday at Craigtoun Park, where the Kilrymont Classic Car Show takes place. We are expecting over 100 classic cars to be on display.
