Martin Hepworth gave a talk on Scottish bank notes. Martin is a collector of bank notes and his illustrated talk included slides showing special edition notes with local connections including the Royal Bank’s Jack Nicklaus £5 note and a R&A note commemorating the club’s 250th anniversary. Clydesdale Bank produced a number of notes in their World Heritage Sites series. Martin said he liked to collect the notes and also visit the sites. He expanded his talk outlining the history of New Lanark and the main characters involved in its development. Ian Black introduced Martin and duty President George McIntosh proposed a vote of thanks.
