Kaila Bartlett recalled her experiences at the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards summer camp.

Kaila, a 6th year pupil at Madras College, attended RYLA at Nethybridge where youngsters undertake challenging activities with the aim of developing leadership skills and boosting their confidence.
Over 30 girls aged 15-17 from all over Scotland took part in various team activities including gorge walking, rock climbing and raft building. They also heard motivational talks from a number of speakers.
Kaila, whose mobility is affected after suffering a stroke earlier in her childhood, said she enjoyed the achievement of successfully performing new tasks and leading her team in some of them.
She thanked the Kilrymont club for sponsoring her.

President Brian Gray welcomed Kaila and her father to the meeting and the club’s Youth team leader Jim Douglas introduced Kaila and also proposed a vote of thanks for her inspiring talk.Kaila will describe her RYLA experience.
