Canongate Primary headteacher Patricia Shafron gave a talk to Kilrymont St Andrews Rotary Club on the school’s additional needs department.
Mrs Shafron said many of the 19 pupils in two classes had a diagnosis of some form of autism and several were non-verbal but communicated in other ways.Mrs Shafron thanked the Rotary club for its financial assistance in providing an artificial grass area for the pupils.
George McIntosh thanked Mrs Shafron for her most interesting insight into the school’s tremendous help for the youngsters.
