Rotarians help at Storehouse at Christmas

During the pandemic, members of Kilrymont St Andrews Rotary Club have supported Storehouse, the local food bank.  Members have volunteered to move supplies from storage to the distribution point and helped with bag packing.  The club also committed £200 per month for 6 months from the funds provided to the Rotary Club by the R & A.

The following is the text of a letter received from Storehouse.

"To the team and members of the Rotary Club

Thank you so much for everything you have done over the past year to support the work of Storehouse.  It has been an incredibly strange year for all of us, and without the support of community members like yourselves, our work would simply not be possible.

Storehouse has been operating for 15 years and over this past year we gave out 3,462 bags of food which was an increase from 2,244 bags from the year before.  We also received 1,358 visits from people needing food, up from 1,051 in 2019.  All this goes to show that your support really is invaluable, and sadly it's only getting more important as the need continues to rise.

Please do pass on our gratitude and appreciation to everybody who has contributed to Storehouse, we are so grateful for your generosity that has made such a difference to those in need!

We wish you every blessing throughout the next year.
