Pluck-a-Duck competition at Craigtoun Park

PLUCK-A-DUCK AND BBQ

The Club’s annual “Pluck A Duck” fund-raising event took place in the pond at the Dutch Village in Craigtoun Park. Somewhere around 500 yellow plastic ducks adorned the pond surface until a boatload of members’ grandchildren set off to net them, watched over by 50+ members, family and visitors.

The crew of Duncan Dombrower (13) who was chief peddaller of the paddle boat, Dylan Morgan (7), Donald Dombrower (11) and Callum Godden (8) did a sterling job. The three younger crew members pulled out the ducks to find the three prize-winning numbers – 424, 144 and 3 - ascribed on them. The winners will receive £50, £20 and £10.

Following the exciting business of duck-plucking, all adjourned to the Craigtoun picnic complex for a well-earned barbecue.

The event raised a total of £410 which will, of course, be fed into the Club’s charities fund.
