Last of our East Sands Sandcastle Competitions

The competition starts at 10.30am and all building must stop by 11.45am when judging begins.

There are weekly competitions at the same time and place, every Thursday until the 13th August. So if you don't win this week then come along the next week.

Entry is by donation. All proceeds will go to the Cosmos Center, St Andrews.

Open to all ages and prizes are donated by the Cheesy Toast Shack and Surf's Up.

REPORT ON SANDCASTLE COMPETITION NUMBER 5 (6.8.26)

Another successful competition last week. 65 young people turned up with parents, grandparents and carers to participate and, as usual, the energy, enthusiasm and eye for detail amazed us all. The photos attached show this to great effect.

The winners are always very difficult to choose but young Archie, who was inspired by his favourite ride at Craigtoun, Puffin Billy, took one of the two prizes.

Fat Cat and Fish, built by Sam, Katie, Arran, Eva and Lewis won the second prize winning voucher. (The cat had obviously enjoyed the fish as all that was left was the bones!)

Well done to all who took part.
