Youth Activities

Our own club regularly support the following competitions and programmes

Young Chef

This is a well established competition for students between 11 - 17 years. The competitor has to produce a healthy economical two course meal. Local participants compete at Stafford College using their facilities. Winners will go forward to a District competition.

Technology Challenge

This is a challenge aimed at primary school children. A team of Rotarians come and spend the day with the class and work through some problem solving and the builing of a structure. Great fun and everyone gets something out of the day. 

Peace Project 

The Peace project is an opportunity for young people to be aware of what they say and how it may be interpretted. It is about building a more inclusive society with in the school and beyond. The course puts in place the building blocks of a better society wheth that is at home, school or the wider community.

Books4home

Many children do not own a single book of their own, and so Books4home work with schools to give free pre loved books to children to take home and keep. We are always looking for good quality books that are no longer needed as well as schools to take part in this project. Contact message@rotaryclubofstaffordknot.org.uk

This year's lunch featuring the sing along.

A recent community project was the Pensioners Lunch on 21st June. 78 pensioners, most of whom live by themselves and frequently do not have contact with others were treated to lunch with wine and entertainment.
