Review of the Year and Presidential Handover
At the final meeting of the Rotary Year on 26th June, President Les King presented a Review of the Year, summarising the activities of the club during 2023-4. He was happy to report on another successful and enjoyable year. The presentation can be seen on the Club website.
Les then handed over the chain of office to incoming President Sai Kumar and wished him well. He said how much he had enjoyed the task and was confident Sai would too.
Sai thanked Les and presented him with an inscribed vase. He recounted some of his own background, training in India, his working as an Orthopedic Surgeon in the NHS and how he had joined Rotary to meet up with friends and to give something back to the community.
Sai then took time to introduce the new team of officers and convenors, with a particular mention of Graham Murnane, Vice President.
