Once a year the club cedes its booking of the River Inn function suite to allow St Columba’s to hold an annual event. We then meet downstairs in a more intimate space and it is considered appropriate to have an internal speaker rather than a guest. This year the speaker was past president Mike Farley who spoke lucidly on the topic of Rocks and Dinosaurs – a subject inspired by his trip to Colorado and the Dinosaur National Monument. The current president Peter Dickie remarked that Mike would be sure to see suitably fulsome reports!
