Those Magnificent Men in their Flying Machines
The unsung heroes of the NHS in Scotland are the air ambulance crews who cover the remote areas of Scotland in all weathers to ferry patients to and from hospital. Nigel Jamison is a member of Gryffe Valley Rotary club and he recently took the opportunity to talk to the club about his 'day job' role as an air ambulance pilot.
Perhaps the role was best described by his late arrival at the meeting

To support disabled sailing for wheelchair users at Castle Semple Loch Gryffe Valley Rotary purchased a special powered Wheelyboat to enabled those in wheelchairs to get out onto the water.

The club organises outings for groups of Renfrewshire Young Carers, with activities followed by a meal and drink. Some years we visited Xscape at Braehead, Hillington for the electric go-karts, and then Castle Semple Loch
