Early this year the Rotary Club of Burntisland & Kinghorn had a discussion with Kinghorn Ecology Centre's Operational Manager Lee Brown on how the could work together on a meaningful environmental project going forward. The outcome was a Pollinator garden which visitors can enjoy and inspire them to use some of the planting ideas to create pollinator friendly spaces in their own gardens. The Club were delighted to support this project and purchase plants guided by Operational Manager Lee. Members will be available when needed to give time for the upkeep.
This is an on-going collaboration and in the future it is envisaged that Rotary members will add to the on-going development by growing and donating appropriate plants from their own gardens.
Club members enjoyed visiting the garden with some even managing a little weeding to help out.
