Rotary Bradford Showcase – July 4th – The Great Victoria Hotel, Bradford

Two of our speakers have had significant publicity recently. Jasmine Harrison who completed the Mini Globe solo small boat race is heavily featured in this month’s Rotary Magazine (https://magazine.rotarygbi.org) and Rtn Tim Marsden received the highest Rotary award, The Rotary International Service Above Self Award (Facebook posting HERE) for his Huddersfield to Ukraine Humanitarian Aid work.

Other speakers are: MP Kim Leadbeater, Professor Fiona Macaulay (peace studies), Rtn Philip Wilbourn, Rtn Geoff Mackey, Moin Ashraf (cricketer), Shamza Butt (recipient of British Empire medal), Jane Hewitt (LimBo foundation), Chrissy Sykes (My body is My Body), Sonja Woodcock (food agenda) and Amar Farooq (boxer).

There is also an exciting showcase and an optional early evening casual meal at the stunning new Golden Palms restaurant.

The goody bags that all delegates will receive, are now filling up and are probably valued at more than the ticket price!

Stainborough Rotary Club is very active in the community, supporting worthy causes such as Centrepoint, Silkstone Scout Camp and Young People’s leadership programme. The Club also helps Santa with his Sleigh every Christmas.

Enthusiastic volunteers helping to create the vital water borehole. Water = life !!

We have close links, over many years, with Ho in Ghana. We have helped to fund the building of a Women's Co-operative, a Rotary Community Hall, a Street Children's centre, a water borehole and now the building of a sand dam.

Stainborough raises funds for charities through organising events, Sponsorship, car boot & table top sales, competitions and selling merchandise.

Our own charity - the Rotary Foundation.

Stainborough is a friendly club with lots of well supported events throughout the year. Some are 'just for fun', whilst others raise money for good causes at the same time.
