Greg Manning, Rotary Club of Huntly
"Combat Stress"

Combat Stress is a charity that deals with ex servicemen who suffer from stress due to their experiences in the armed forces. Once they leave the forces some of the stresses they have felt begin to appear in the form of depression, alcoholism, and domestic violence.  A third of those sleeping rough in the uk are ex servicemen.

In the past these sorts of mental heath disorders just weren't being picked up. Now with the promoinence of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder in the news, the NHS will now refer patients showing concern to Combat Stress if they were ex servicemen.  So the charity aims to work with these men and women to combat their stress.
