Halloween Trail: October 24th - 31st

Horsforth Shops and Businesses have been encouraged to dress up their windows for this yearly competition raising funds for Candlelighters, supporting children with cancer and their families


More than 40 Horsforth shops and businesses have signed up for this year's competition covering Fink Hill, Church Road, New Road Side, Low Lane, Station Road and Town Street. Following last year's success in raising £375 for the Rob Burrow Centre for Motor Neurone Disease Appeal this year's Trail will raise funds for Candlelighters, supporting children with cancer and their families.

Displays should be completed by 24th October, ready for the School Half Term Holiday 27th to 31st October. All displays will be judged on 25th October with prizes and certificates for 1st £30, 2nd £20 and 3rd £10 plus Very Highly Commended.

To help families wander round to judge the windows for themselves during the holiday, maps showing all participants will be available from Honey Pottery on New Road Side and Marples on Town Street priced £1 to help the Candlelighters Charity. and show the shops in their best profile.
