Coinciding with the Rotary Year running from 1 July to 30 June each Leader of an Area of Focus now prepares two reports annually. The first in April at the Annual General Meeting summarises what has been achieved for the year. The second in June at the Club Assembly outlines plans for the coming year.
Last year's reports follow.

CLUB ASSEMBLY - 16 JUNE 2026 - PLANNING FOR THE NEW ROTARY YEAR AHEAD
It is proposed that we will continue to offer a range of 'work alone' competitions throughout the yesr beginning in September running up to Christmas when judging will take place. Winning entries will be forwarded to District as appropriate for the next level of judging. Whilst co-ordinating collection of entries will be the responsibility of the Team Leader support will be required from Club members as seen below:
Young Writer Organiser JK - 6 members to judge
Young Artist Organiser JK All members to judge after lunch one day
Young Photographer Organiser JK All available members to judge after meeting lunch one day
Young Environmentalist Organiser JK - 3 members to judge (N B potential link with Katie Price M P)
We also intend to run a programme of single-day events where it is hoped competitors will meet students from other schools. These will be spaced out over Autumn/Winter so that Club members have every opportunity to assist in any way they wish
Young Musician Organiser JK - 3 judges musical background might entail looking outside
Battle of the Bands Organiser JK with external support
Similar to last year in an effort to promote these competitions it is intended to offer free purple crocus corms to primary and secondary schools and in an age appropriate way to explain their significance to Rotary in the fight against Polio. This led to a massive increase in the numbers joining in the competitions
Aireborough Rotary will as ever be heavily involved in the annual Leeds Technology Tournament with members on the organising committee as well as acting as stewards and judges on the day.
