CLUB ASSEMBLY - PLANNING FOR THE ROTARY YEAR 1 JULY 2023 TO 30 JUNE 2024
Thursday Meetings Janet Appleton:
The aim of the Thursday meetings is to continue to actively attract new members by offering a flexible meeting structure, providing fellowship and service opportunities to younger and working members, as well as a less formal, more focused Rotary experience. The Thursday meeting will continue to develop and help to deliver successful fund-raising events and to also look for a diverse range of activities to promote Rotary within the Community. We are all aware that during this coming year we will continue to be challenged for all our future activities and achieving our goals due to the current economic situation, but as always, we are up for the challenge.
REPORT TO THE ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING 2023
Still meeting on the first and third Thursdays of the month between 6.00 - 8.00 p.m.at Horsforth Golf Club our regular name is now simply Thursday meetings. We continue to bring new members into the Club by providing an opportunity for people unable to attend the original Tuesday lunchtime meetings. Events-wise these meetings have proved innovative running for example a successful fund-raising Sheepstakes Race Night, helping Mary's Meals via a barbecue and South African schoolchildren through the charity Chameleon as well as organising a Grand Interactive Quiz. They continue to add new events most recently the 'It's a Dogs' Day' with Beer festivals running since the summer of 2017. The Days for Girls project also found its feet within Thursday meetings.
All Club members have the option of attending on Tuesdays, Thursdays or both as all are full members of the Rotary Club of Aireborough choosing the meetings which best suit their situations.

CLUB ASSEMBLY 21 JUNE 2022
The aim of the Thursday meetings continues to be to actively attract new members by helping to offer a flexible meeting structure. This provides both fellowship and service opportunities to working and younger potential members within a less formal, more focussed Rotary experience. Thursday meetings will continue to focus on developing and helping to deliver successful, fund-raising events and to also look for a diverse range of activities to promote Rotary within our community.
We are all aware that during this coming year we will still continue to be challenged by all our future activities and achieving our goals as we all try to get back to normal, whatever normal may look like. We are as always up for the challenge it presents.
