Supporting Children with Special Needs in Uganda

Rotarians Jack from Mercia and Marches Rotary and Richard from Blythe Bridge Rotary are working together to raise vital funds for HUGS (Help Uganda Schools) and the St. Francis de Sales Special Needs School in Jinja, Uganda.

HUGS helped fund and build this remarkable school in 2019/20. Today, it is home to over 100 pupils with special needs — including children who are blind, deaf, or living with physical and mental challenges. In a country where such children are too often overlooked or shunned by society, this school is a beacon of hope and acceptance.

Jack and Richard kicked start the appeal by undertaking a 25 mile tendem ride at Westport Lake, Stoke-on-Trent.  Jack has been totally blind since birth.

The next step is to help the school become self-sufficient, ensuring it can continue to provide education, dignity, and opportunity for generations to come.

Every penny raised will go directly to the school — with no deductions — so your donation will make a real, lasting difference.

Please support us in changing lives. Together, we can give these children the education and future they deserve.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
