Appeal for Aids for the visually impaired in Ghana
Vision Service provision in Ghana is currently very low. This can impact significantly on quality of life or retaining employment
The limited treatment availability for vision impairment in Ghana includes cataract treatment and many other conditions.
Our aim is to send to Ghana as many low vision aids. i.e items of benefit to people with visual impairment. We are appealing for unwanted items, magnifiers of any kind suitable for this purpose. We will be purchasing a range of vision aid items using advice from an optometrist who is a Club member, and an optometrist in Ghana.
If you have an such items we ask you to use the attached form to let us know what you have, the area you live in and information that will enable a Rotary Club member to contact you. We'll be happy to answer any queries you have.
The project is supported by Club funds, Club member donations and Rotary Foundation funding.
Personal donations to this project would enable additional vision aids to be provided.
