Golf Day

An annual fund-raising, golfing event

Our Golf Day

Our annual golf day took place in early September and was a great success. 22 teams competed for the honour of winning as well as a number of prizes. The weather was fine and a good time, and a tasty meal, was had by all. As usual, the day had been meticulously organised by Rotarian Steve Wilkin, ably assisted by Rotarian Alex Ritchie, who also set up the course on the day. The tombola was organised, in advance, by Rotarian Graham Taylor. Thanks to all the Rotarians who assisted throughout the day and special thanks to Maria Stevens & Hazel Quarter-man for preparing the refreshments and providing service with a smile all day long. Thanks also to Nigel Perry & Richard Gregory from Abbeydale Golf Club for all their assistance. Despite the reduced number of teams this year, we still managed to raise over £4000.
