Art in the Gardens

Abbeydale Rotary participate in Art in the Gardens

Once again Abbeydale Rotary took part in the “Art in the Gardens” exhibition. A selection of the primary school submissions to our Sheffield Young Artists exhibition were mounted & displayed in a marquee in the Botanical Gardens. Several students came to see their work exhibited and more than 900 parents, friends, artists and others came to see the works and hear about how Abbeydale Rotary are promoting young artists in the city. We even had a visit from artist & past Rotarian Joe Scarborough, who admired the works on display and the work that we do to encourage young talent. Thanks to Rotarian Chris Jones for organising & manning the event and to those Rotarians that assisted with the staging & dismantling of the exhibition and those who welcomed and spoke to our visitors. Special mention needs to be given to Rotarian Keith Tomlinson who did a sterling job.
