Charlotte gets a helping hand

Our club was pleased to present a cheque for £300 to help a local student to achieve her ambition to visit Morocco.

14 year-old Charlotte Wood from Dowdales School in Dalton hopes to make the trip next year with ten other students. They will be visiting a variety of venues to help them to learn about the country and its customs.

One of the planned activities is a 2700m climb up the Atlas Mountains.

Charlotte will be certainly going up in the world and the club wishes her well.

Charlotte was accompanied by her grandmother Debbie Marsden, and they are pictured with President Nigel, and Past President Martin McLeavey.
