Every little helps homeless

Club presents proceeds from Tesco tin collection

The Friday before Christmas seemed a good time to visit the Furness Homeless Support Group's Day Centre in Bath Street, Barrow.

President Nigel Johnson presented a cheque for £1000 to centre manager Christine Bainbridge to help running costs over the festive period.

The Centre is expecting around fifty people to celebrate Christmas.

The bulk of the donation came from members of the public who supported a recent collection held at Tesco Extra in Barrow, with the club rounding up the amount from its charity account.

Many thanks to those who donated and special thanks to Tesco. Every little helps!

Rotarians Fred, Nigel, Peter and Graham are pictured with Christine.
