Each year Rotary clubs throughout Cumbria and Lancashire compete in a series of sporting activities.
The action got under way with the Rotary Club of Furness taking on the Rotary Club of Furness Peninsula at crown-green bowling. The match was played on a warm and sunny afternoon at the Red River Club in Barrow.
There was plenty of banter between the rival teams during singles and doubles matches, with Furness coming out on top. The players stuck around for a light buffet and more chat and banter.
Sadly the team lost its second round match to Carnforth, the game taking place at Hawcoat Park. Thanks to them for loaning us their wonderful facility for the afternoon.
