Rotary isn't just about helping people and supporting registered charities. There is a mryiad of things that we do, and we also enjoy ourseves.
Each year all 68 Rotary clubs in the District of Cumbria & Lancashire are invited to field a team in various sporting and leisure events.
One of these is tenpin bowling and in the first round of this year's knockout competition our club was drawn against another club based in Barrow, Furness Peninsula.
We made the trek to Morecambe Bowl and there was plenty of friendly rivalry between the two clubs over the two games.
In the end the Rotary Club of Furness was victorious and now await the winners of West Lakeland - based in Seascale - and the Rotary Club of Ulverston.
Whatever the score we will once again enjoy ourselves, so if you fancy being involved - no committment to join - just for fun, please use the contact form to get in touch.
Picture shows next year's President Fred Winkfield getting ready for a strike.
