The second Devali night was a great success , Michealson House was the perfect venue with the long drive lit with candles & white lights leading to the car park entrance into the hotel , the entrance was covered with a canopy (provided by Ian Tudor) which was also lit up giving a great effect for everyone arriving
Mahendra started the proceedings with a short talk on hinduism then a short hindu service he was assisted by Naveena (his very attractive daughter).
This was followed by a wonderful firework display in the car park which was lit up by the lights in the garden giving the right effect
the food that followed was the best indian food most people have ever tasted and this was provide by Mr H Rahman (Billy)
most people left about 11.30p.m having enjoyed a wonderful experience
our thanks go to Mahendra & his daughter, Keith Wilson for setting the lighting up Dave Stewart of Barrow Rotary for providing most of the equipment Dave & Blake for setting up the fireworks Rory for arranging the evening & working hard on the day
last but certainly not least Peter from Michealson House for all his effort without which the evening would not have been the success it was. Mahendra is all fired up for the next one (think he wants us all singing & dancing) - I can’t wait for it !
