Carnival 2007

Furness Rotary Club's 10th Barrow Carnival was a washout....we soldiered on undeterred by a grim weather forecast, we had had our fingers crossed all week but to no avail. Regretfully all Ken's hard work  was washed out by the heavy rain. It caused the Dancing Troops to bow out as well as some of the bands. Thankfully, St Andrew's Pipe Band with the Barracudas, Milnthorpe Steel Band and the very enthusiastic Boom Dan drummers did take part. Along with some very brave  folk on colourful floats accompanied our Carnival Queen and retinue around the sodden streets of Barrow.
