New President takes over

The Rotary year begins on 1st July each year, which means that the club has a new President.

Peter Garwood is well-know in Barrow as proprietor of Michaelson House Hotel on Fairfield Lane in the town. 

He now leads the largest of the three Rotary clubs in Barrow, taking over from Nigel Johnson.

Peter's aim is for the club to keep on helping as many people as it can, locally, nationally and internationally. 

The changeover event took place at the General Burgoyne in Great Urswick, one of the hostelries which the club will be frequenting over the next year in a new initiative to get out and about a bit more.

Or perhaps that's just an excuse!
