Chris Bishop, son of the Legendary local journalist, Tony Bishop will be talking about his father’s colourful and interesting life

Deadlines and Destiny is the new book on the colourful life of Tony Bishop a journalist born in Bewdley who worked for 65 years and covered many of the trials and stories of the century.
He started at the Kidderminster Shuttle on the way to covering the Russian invasion of Afghanistan in 1980, troubles in Northern Ireland, an air disaster in Tenerife and an attempted coup in Spain.
A ripping journalist's story as told by his son Chris Bishop who co-authored the book. He too has tales to tell with a trip to the war in Ukraine in 2024 and nearly 30 years working in Africa.
