On the 6th November we held our Annual Presentation Night. An evening which is thought by many members to be the highlight of our Rotary year and this time was no exception, in fact it may well have been the best yet with £12,000 being distributed to deserving local causes.
74 members, beneficiaries, guests and Rotarians from other clubs, including our current District Governor, Jonathan Wilding, were in attendance.
This year the proceeds from the Bank Holiday Golf weekend were distributed to 20 local charities and good causes and, in addition, the £5000 raised at the Auction Night was presented to Paul Markall representing the local branch of the Worcestershire Prostate Cancer Support Group.
Each beneficiary briefly gave more details of the work they did and where the money received would be used. A lot of networking went on between the various beneficiaries during the evening and many useful contacts made.
Special mention needs to be made to Bob and Annie Hill for their tireless work in, not only the Golf Weekend but, the Presentation evening which again was a great success.
