For over 19 years Bewdley Rotary have worked with The Bewdley School to give students the opportunity to enter the Rotary Young Photographer Competition.
This year's theme was Rebuilding. There were 155 entries - 143 intermediate and 12 senior. The photographs were fantastic with very varied interpretations of the theme making the judge's job extremely difficult. So a huge thank you to Shirley Bonas, Colin Hill and Simon Beckett, a school technician and published photographer.
A presentation with over 70 parents, pupils and staff in attendance was held on Wednesday 28th February. All the photos were displayed in the hub for people to view and the prize giving was held in the sixth form lecture theatre.
David Rees took the opportunity to explain to the audience about Rotary and how members supported international, national and local projects improving people's lives and creating opportunities. Prizes were presented by President elect Tony Smith and all participants received a certificate with the winners and runners up receiving a superb book 'Photography - The Ultimate Guide' and a gift token.
Congratulations go to the winners and runners up. Senior Category - Samuel W. Year 10 and in the Intermediate category - Nonin S. Year 8
