On Thursday 11th May 2017 a preview evening of the Bewdley Rotary Polio Exhibition took place at the Bewdley Museum with over sixty people including representatives of Rotary International, Rotary GB&I, District 1060, Bewdley Club members and partners and others who had worked on the project.
Rotary in Great Britain and Ireland President, Eve Conway, who had contributed to the Purple 4 Polio panel, praised the Club for creating such a professional exhibition and for making it available for other Clubs and Districts in GB and Ireland to use over the next three to four years.
Judith Diment, the GB&I representative on the Rotary International Polio Plus Committee, explained that the last reported case of polio was on 21st February and it is the longest period ever during which a case of polio has not occurred.
