Opportunities for Youth

The Club works closely with The Bewdley School and some local Primary Schools offering a range of opportunities for young people.

Youth Exchange

Historically the Club have been very active in Youth Exchange but unfortunately the programe was paused in 2020 and 2021 because of Covid restrictions. In summer 2023 we have two students from Bewdley School on the Rotary Camps and Tours programme.

Young Photographer

Bewdley High School has produced some impressive photographers from amongst its students and success has been gained by the winners of the Club round of the Competition in 2009, 2010, 2014, 2017, 2019, 2021 and 2023 at district and national level rounds.

In 2018 the Interact Club at Bewdley School was re-formed in Year 8 and was very active. For various reasons the year group who were now in VIth Form became less active. Thanks to enthusiam at Bewdley School to get Interact running effectively a new group covering Years 8 to 10 will be formed in September 2023.

Rotakids

In 2016 we formed a Rotakids Club at Chaddesley Corbett Primary School which is still going strong with young people from years 5 and 6 organising at least one international project, one community project and one school project each year. In 2020 a new Rotakids group was formed at Heathfield Knoll School.
