How We Raise Our Funds
Having Fun and Fellowship whilst at the same time Raising a Bit of Cash
The Rotary Club of Bewdley has traditionally operated a separate Fund Raising Team to support the work of the Community, Environment, International and Youth service teams.
Quiz Nights are held regularly at various venues and raise in the region of £1000 each time.
A music and laughter night is organised each year, normally in March, and is now held in the refurbished St George's Hall in Bewdley and raises in excess of £1000.
In 2017 we held our first Golf Day and thanks to The Bewdley Pines Golf Club for handling the golf side of things we organised, hole sponsorship, a grand draw and a tombola. That year we distributed the proceeds of £4000 to 19 local charities and good causes and learned a lot. A successful modified event took place under Covid restrictions in 2020 raising over £4300 and has continued since. The 2024 event raised £7000
At Christmas 2024 we took over the organisation of the Santa Sleigh in Bewdley and we hope this will become an annual event.
In 2024 our Corporate Members organised an event in conjuction with the Bewdley Medical Centre which raised £5000 for Motor Neurone Disease research.
