President handover black tie dinner at Draycote Hotel - guest speaker High Sheriff of Warwickshire, Mrs Karen Lynch, MBE

Past president Ramesh Srivastava handing over to President elect Simon Maguire.

This dinner is to look back and celebrate the fundraising and events that we organised or attended which raised £4500 for President Ramesh's charity of the year Myton Hospice.

New President Simon Maguire outlines the charities he is looking to raise money and awareness for and explains why he has chosen them. CORD and the Association of Ukranians in Great Britain Rugby Branch are the charities that Simon has chosen for this year. CORD is a charity based in Coventry which promotes peace internationally. The Rugby branch of the Association of Ukranians in Great Britain have been supported by our our club over previous years and some of their members have performed at our fundraising events.

Mrs Karen Lynch MBE is the High Sheriff of Warwickshire and was chosen as a guest speaker for this evening. Karen spoke about the company she built called Belu Water which during her 10 year tenure as CEO raised £5million for Wateraid. Wateraid is a charity that helps to ensure thousands of people have access to clean drinking water and toilets in some deprived areas. Karen then spoke about her new business Expert Impact which coaches social enterprise and impact led skills to young entrepreneurs through speakers and mentors.

Rotary Club of Rugby Dunsmore then presented Karen Lynch MBE with an honorary membership to the club in recognition of the work she has achieved.
