Last year we received 140 entries for this competition and we were pleased that this year the the number increased to 177
Rotarians agreed this was an excellent way of introducing young people to the Rotary family working. We are grateful to the 6 members of Rotary who trawled through the entries and created a shortlist of winners.
The final Craven area winners were identified, as last year, by Ela Lindley, a creative writing graduate and social media manager.
This year's winner is Summer Jennings, a pupil at Lothersdale Primary School. She wins a voucher for £35 and a trophy, which has kindly been donated by Rotarian Paul Wright.
24 other participants will receive voucher prizes from Rotarians who will be visiting schools, by arrangement, to present the vouchers at morning assembly.
